Dare to be Colorful!

I have three kids, therefore I have laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. And because most of that laundry is generated by children I have dirty laundry. All three of my kids were spitters when they were babies, but when Abby was a baby my mom found me one day crying over her pretty pink bibs and how stained they were. She promptly went to Walmart and brought me my first box of Clorox2 and folks, my laundry hasn't been the same since. There are a lot of things I buy store brand, but when it comes to my laundry it's Clorox all the way. There is simply no substitute to make your laundry the happiest it can be.

I put a cap of Clorox2 in all of my light-colored loads, the dark ones if they're really dirty, and in my towels where I can't use regular bleach. I've literally been a user of Clorox2 for 12 years, so when MomCentral announced a blog tour and free coupons for it I nearly broke my toe on my washing machine trying to get in on it. Clorox2 has a new formula that is not only a non-chlorine bleach but also a color booster. Basically that means YAY! Happy laundry for everyone!
Tough stains? Ones that slipped by you in the wash and you don't dare dry them and set in the stain? No problem - soak the stain in Clorox2, then re-wash and voila! Again with the happy laundry! This is a product that I could go on and on even if MomCentral hadn't given me a coupon for a free bottle AND coupons for four of my readers. Yep, COUPONS! The economy's takin' a dive, but people, we're all gonna have awesomely happy laundry - four of you are gonna have that happy laundry for FREE!

Leave a comment telling me the worst stain you've ever had to get out of your laundry and you're automaticaly entered to win a coupon of your very own. Giveaway is open until this Friday. Tell your friends!

Big thanks to MomCentral!

My worse stain is kind of a toss up.... Either the oil that my hubby spilled on him "accidently" when he was changing the oil ro the deer blood that was on his carharts last year that he wouldn't let me wash, beacuse "you can't wash them in the middle of hunting season!!! That would make them unlucky!!!!!" So I spent time scrubbing with a toothbrush and everything I could. I know that scrubbing hunting clothes sounds dumb, but I would like him to look somewhat presentable if I meet him somewhere to eat when they are done!!!

My worst stain... That is a huge toss up. When we lived in Hawaii it was red dirt in everything we own. All our whites turned rusty colors. I fought that for years. We have had ink, iodine, blood, all kinds of foods, pine tree tar, animal feces/ urine, red kool aid, mold ( one of the kids left wet towels from swimming bunched up in their bedroom). We have had oil, paint, things I didn't want to know when my hubby was in the navy and worked in the bilge. We have 4 kids. If they can find something to get into then they will.

How's it do on cow poopy and oil together? Cause my John-Boy can't seem to go outside w/o coming back w/ "Coil stains" as we affectionately call them...

Chocolate milk on a white school uniform shirt...very unpleasant!

Ditto on the red mud, too. NC seems to ONLY have red dirt, and we have now lived in two neighborhoods that still were under construction. Talk a bout a mess!

I promise that I will soon (hopefully - after Saturday) blog about my Disney trip! My next one is in just over a month, and I have some plannin' to do!

I'd love to blame my worst stain on the kids, but it really happened when my and my then-boyfriend, now husband went on some water ride at Frontier City and my not-quite-leather black purse strap got wet and left a big black strip on my white, button-up, baby doll t-shirt. I had to soak and pre-wash with Chlorox, but it did come out. Of course, I haven't fit into that shirt since about 6 months after that happened but still...

I can't use it because hubby has sensitive skin issues, but it was worth it just to read the comments about deer blood, cow poop, and oil. YUCK!

We were driving home from Conner's first trip to OKC when he started screaming and kept screaming for the seven miles it took us to get to McDonalds. When I got him out of the car I discovered poop from his his shoes to his neck. I know, baby poop is not as bad as everyone else's stains. It was the amount that made it disgusting! Shoes, socks, pants, and shirt. Yes, his new Christmas pants and shirt.

I've washed ducks, dove and quail in the washing machine before and had whole loads all nasty. I do know there are easier ways to pluck them so please don't start! lol

I haven't tried it - but think I definitely will now. I think Calf poop is the worst - usually just leaves a irridescent green spot.

Our son went through a period of time where he aspirated all thin liquids. Therefore, we had to thicken all his feeds (he was still a baby) with this gel like stuff that had an unfortunate side effect of making him have loose stools all the time. It got to the point that he could poop out the side of his diaper and no poop ever grace any part of his diaper. Nice for the diaper budget, bad for the clothes/carpet.
Love the new review blog, by the way!

Ketchup or anything tomato based always requires a second wash at my house. I'd love to try the Clorex II on it.
